Cannibal Corpse - Evisceration Plague - February 3, 2009

Evisceration Plague is the eleventh album by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, set to be released on February 3, 2009. The album was produced at Mana Recording Studios by Hate Eternal guitarist Erik Rutan.

Bassist Alex Webster said about the record: "In Cannibal Corpse, our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album Kill, but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further. Now that we can hear the finished product, I would say we've been able to achieve this goal, and I think our fans will agree. 'Evisceration Plague' has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power. We can't wait until you all get a chance to hear the album in early 2009, because we think you'll be as happy with it as we are."

In another interview with Terrorizer magazine, drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz stated his thoughts on the album saying: "yeah I mean its not a bad album. I think working with Erik again has definitely brought things up a little for us. I mean all the band were involved in the writing process of this album along with Rutan and so I think this ones a tad more individual than Kill."

The cover art was released December 14 and samples were made available through Amazon.com. The album will be released with a bonus track and DVD as a deluxe edition. An autographed version of the album is now available for pre-order on the Metal Blade Records website.

Eaten Back to Life is the debut album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released on 17 August 1990 through Metal Blade Records. The album was banned in Germany (censored versions were available, but the ban was revoked in June 2006) and other countries because of the extreme nature of the cover art.[citation needed] Glen Benton of Deicide and Francis H. Howard of Opprobrium (then known as Incubus) perform back-up vocals on "Mangled" and "A Skull Full of Maggots".

The following statement can be found in the inlay of this album: "This album is dedicated to the memory of Alfred Packer, the first American cannibal (R.I.P.)"

The remastered version includes a video of "Born In a Casket (live)" as well as different color scheme on the cover art.

Butchered at Birth is the second album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1991 through Metal Blade Records. The album was banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the gory cover art made by artist Vince Locke, which featured a slaughtered mother-to-be being carved by a zombie, her baby apparently about to be slaughtered by a second zombie, and dead fetuses hanging from meat hooks and nooses. First pressings of the compact disc were wrapped in white butcher paper stamped with the band logo and album title in red ink. Butchered at Birth's cover also drew a complaint from the Ontario Provincial Police in Canada, which led to a warning to record stores being told not to sell the album to persons under 18.[citation needed]

"Rancid Amputation" was given a lounge music re-arrangement by Andrew Hansen of the Australian comedy team The Chaser.

Cannibal Corpse - The Bleeding - April 12, 1994

The Bleeding is the fourth album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released in 1994 through Metal Blade Records. It is the last album featuring singer Chris Barnes and is the first album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett. According to Soundscan numbers, The Bleeding is the fifth top-selling death metal LP in the United States, amassing over 98,300 copies sold. The Bleeding is also Cannibal Corpse's most successful album to date, and their first entry on the Billboard charts.

A re-master of this album is available and features new cover art, a bonus track (The Exorcist, a Possessed cover) and the music video of "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead."

A video was made for "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead."

Vile is the fifth album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1996 through Metal Blade Records. It was originally titled Created to Kill (which is featured in the Cannibal Corpse Box set) and was recorded with founding vocalist Chris Barnes. Before the album was released, Barnes quit the band, which then brought in Monstrosity vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher to finish the album's vocal work. Fisher re-recorded all of the vocal tracks and the band released the album under the new title Vile. Vile also marks the last album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett until Kill, and features a brand new band logo, because the previous logo was owned and copyrighted by the departing Chris Barnes.

During the Vile sessions, "The Undead Will Feast" from Eaten Back to Life was re-recorded with Fisher on vocals. This version of the song would appear on the Worm Infested EP in 2003.

The album was re-released in 2006 with new liner notes and a bonus DVD (entitled "Vile Live") featuring a full concert from the Vile tour, during which many songs from the album are performed.

Vile was the first death metal album to appear on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No.151.

Vile was also the last Corpse album to feature Scott Burns as the producer.

Gallery of Suicide is the sixth album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1998 through Metal Blade Records. The cover art, done as usual by Vince Locke, is an image of a redheaded woman inflicting various wounds on herself, surrounded by people who have also mutilated themselves but are seemingly dead. The censored cover features the outside of the gallery and with careful attention, a man jumping from one of its highest platforms. This is the second album to include George Fisher on vocal duties, and the first album to feature Pat O'Brien on guitars. Gallery of Suicide is also the third Cannibal Corpse album to be named after one of the tracks on the album.

The Wretched Spawn is the ninth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. The cover art is by Vincent Locke and like many Cannibal Corpse albums there is also a censored outer sleeve for The Wretched Spawn. This is the last studio album to feature Jack Owen, one of the band's founding members. The album was distributed with a making-of DVD produced by Nick Sahakian. The Wretched Spawn is Cannibal Corpse's fourth album to be named after one of the tracks on the album.

Cannibal Corpse - Kill - March 21, 2006

Kill is the tenth album by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released on March 21, 2006. This release marks the return of guitarist Rob Barrett, who had previously played on the The Bleeding and Vile albums. The European version of the album comes with a live DVD filmed in Strasbourg in 2004 called Hammer Smashed Laiterie. The album was produced at Mana Recording Studios by Hate Eternal guitarist Erik Rutan.

Music videos were made for "Make Them Suffer" and "Death Walking Terror".

Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Faced [EP] - March 23, 1993

Hammer Smashed Face is Cannibal Corpse's first EP. It was released in 1993 through Metal Blade Records. There is also a "Hammer Smashed Face" single containing only the first three songs. "Hammer Smashed Face" is one of the band's most popular songs, mainly due to a shortened version appearing in the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Since it is listed on Tomb of the Mutilated, it was banned from Germany until June 2006, when it was played at a 2006 performance at Essen. Two different covers were made, one is the single version shown to the lower-right, which is a close up of a skull candle which is in the right corner of the Tomb of the Mutilated album cover, and an EP version shown at the upper-right, depicting a man who has been repeatedy pulverized with a hammer, and then had the hammer thrust into his temple.

The lyrics tell the story of a man who has a second personality which drives him insane, so he goes on a killing spree with a hammer.

Cannibal Corpse - Tomb Of The Mutilated - September 22, 1992

Tomb of The Mutilated is third album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1992 through Metal Blade Records and is the last album featuring founding guitarist Bob Rusay. The album was banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the cover art featuring one corpse performing cunnilingus on another. The censored version features a further corpse presumably watching the act (not shown) in adoration.

Chris Barnes' vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated are exceptionally guttural, and the liner notes proudly state that an "Electronic Harmonizer was not used to create any vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated".

Because the liner notes on Tomb Of The Mutilated feature quotations from American serial killer Albert Fish, Fish is often incorrectly credited with being the voice at the beginning of "Addicted To Vaginal Skin". However, the taped confession that you hear at the beginning of the song most likely belongs to the "Genesee River Killer" Arthur Shawcross.

The song Hammer Smashed Face was featured during the band's cameo appearance in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
